Hi, my name is Sophie. I write and take film photography sometimes. I am twenty-two years old, although I still don’t really know what I am doing most of the times. I am Korean, but I grew up in Singapore. I studied Comparative Literature with French at University College London, and am now at University of Oxford taking MSt Comparative Literature and Critical Translation. I love reading on the beach, or watching really corny romantic-comedies with wine and chocolate chip cookies at 2 AM. I make Spotify playlists till 3 AM and dance randomly to ABBA songs in public. I love waking up in the middle of life and suddenly having epiphanies of how happy I am. I love raspberries and the color green and the bushy orange tail of my dog. But mostly, I’m still getting adjusted to the whole idea of life.
My favorite books are The Things They Carried by Tim O’Brien and 여행의 이유 by Young-ha Kim. Favorite song at the moment is Keren Ann’s Not Going Anywhere. Ask me about my favorite film and I’ll either tell you Mamma Mia or Interstellar, or Midnight in Paris, for very different reasons. Don’t ask me about my favorite food though, because I can never decide on one.
